Spring Musical

Briarlake Drama Club is excited to welcome back our Director, Sean Dale, for the Spring 2026 production of "Seussical Jr". We are excited to have Ms. Keshen (part-time), Ms. Ramsey, and Mr. Crowley-Guest as part of the BES Drama Club. This year's musical auditions will be open to all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students.

Drama club is a big commitment and requires you (parents and students) agree to an attendance and behavior contract. With a big commitment comes a big reward, and we hope this year's experience is the best yet.

  • Print this form, fill it out and have your student bring it with them to their audition in the music room. This form is required to audition:

  • Attach a color photo of your student to their audition form.

Mandatory Meeting

The parent and student drama meeting for all cast will be held December 10th beginning at 6:30pm in the cafeteria. Please be sure to mark your calendars now and make plans to attend. The cast list will be posted on the entryway doors at the end of the day December 8th.

Rehearsal and Performance Schedule

Note: Participating in the spring musical means students will not be able to participate in DCSD sports for winter or spring, and limits student's ability to participate in other clubs and activities offered at BES after school. Be sure to have this discussion with your student before committing to audition and before they accept a role in the cast.

January and February rehearsals will be held two days a week from 2:45pm to 4pm. March and April rehearsals will increase to three days a week and could be longer in time. The week(s) prior to the performances will be dress rehearsals Monday through Thursday, with the performances being at the conclusion of the week (with the potential for a weekend performance TBD). Attendance is critical.
