Co-VP of Staff Appreciation & Hospitality

 

Service Commitment

  • Serves a minimum of two consecutive years
  • Shares or divides responsibilities with Co-VP—with exception of Teacher Appreciation Week, which is a fully collaborative effort
  • Attends monthly Board Meetings and General Membership Meetings

 

Summer Planning & Transition

  • Meets with Co-Presidents (early July) to review budgets and confirm dates for key hospitality and staff appreciation events
  • Collaborates with Co-Presidents to plan the Summer PTA Board Meetup

 

Staff Appreciation – Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and presents gifts to staff for role-specific recognitions (full list provided separately)
  • Arranges and presents special-occasion gifts (retirement, bereavement, and other milestones)
  • Shares recognition plans with Co-Presidents at least two weeks prior to each presentation
  • Manages responsibilities within the assigned Staff Appreciation budget

Hospitality – Core Responsibilities

  • Plans, oversees, and attends all hospitality-related events, including:
    • PTA Summer Meetup (late July)
    • Welcome Breakfast (late July)
    • Open House Luncheon (late July)
    • Popsicles on the Playground (late July)
    • Cheers & Tears (early August)
    • Holiday Staff Gift Giving (mid-December)
    • ASL Celebration (mid-April)
    • Viking Breakfast (mid-May)
    • PTA End-of-Year Meetup (late May)
  • Oversees the Staff Luncheon Coordinator, offering support when needed
  • Manages responsibilities within the assigned Hospitality budget

 

Shared Responsibilities

  • Submits event recaps (photos and summaries) to VP of Communications for newsletter publication
  • Collaborates with Co-VP on the planning and execution of Teacher Appreciation Week
  • Reports to Co-Presidents
