Co-President (Supporting)
The Supporting Co-President is the perfect role for someone—with no prior experience needed—who wants to help guide the future of the PTA and make a meaningful impact on the Briarlake community. Your first year is a front-row seat to the inner operational workings of the PTA, working alongside the Lead Co-President. At its heart, this mentorship model prepares the Supporting Co-President to transition into the role of Lead Co-President, ensuring a smooth and confident handoff of leadership from year to year.
Service Commitment
- Serves the first year of a two-year commitment
- Attends all major PTA events, sharing responsibility with the Lead Co-President
- Attends all Board Meetings and General Membership Meetings
- Fills in for the Secretary, when absent, to record meeting minutes
Summer Planning & Transition
- Overviews BES PTA culture, structure, and operations with Lead Co-President
- Meets with Co-President and Treasurer to finalize the proposed budget
- Meets with Co-President and Principal to discuss PTA's yearly goals and calendar
Core Responsibilities
- Shares leadership responsibilities with the Lead Co-President
- Supports the execution of PTA goals and initiatives
- Oversees assigned Committees, Chairs, and events
- Shadows Lead Co-President to prepare for transition to future Lead role
